Madison WI Family Photographer at Guilded Grey Events
Every corner of Guilded Grey Events was designed with portraits in mind. As a Madison WI family photographer, I wanted to create a property where families and couples could relax, explore, and enjoy a variety of beautiful backdrops in one place. The entire space is set up so that within just a short walk you can move from prairie grasses to a boardwalk, to a greenhouse filled with light, or to quiet little nooks that feel personal and unexpected. It is the perfect setting for family and portrait sessions because everything you need is close by, creating a relaxed experience with endless options for photos.
At the end of 2024, I brought a crazy idea to life. With the help of my husband and his friends, we hauled an antique piano all the way down to the end of the boardwalk. It was heavy, it was awkward, and more than a few people told me I was out of my mind for even trying. But I had a vision. I wanted something unexpected, something that would stop people in their tracks and make them feel like they had stepped into a story. Everyone thought I was crazy, but once it was in place, I knew it was exactly where it was meant to be. Now it is one of my favorite pieces on the property, and it is meant to feel personal, creative, and a little magical.
The Piano
The long wooden boardwalk winds through prairie and greenery, creating a natural frame for portraits. Whether it is kids running hand in hand or families walking together, this space captures connection in a relaxed way. It is one of my favorite areas as a Madison Wisconsin photographer because of its movement and warmth.

Built with cream city brick, the climate-controlled greenhouse is perfect for small families and couples who want portraits year-round. As a Madison WI photographer, I love this space because it offers beautiful natural light and comfort in every season, without worrying about the weather.

When will we receive our photos?
I reschedule or refund if there is inclement weather. I want a great session just as much as you do!
What happens if it rains?
No worries! I keep sessions fun and light to keep kids engaged. I’ll work with their energy levels to capture their personalities naturally.
What if my kids don't cooperate?
Absolutely! I love including furry family members. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly.
Can we include Pets?
Guilded Grey Events is my private property where clients have exclusive access to unique backdrops. For local sessions, if you have a special location in mind, let me know. I am always happy to photograph families at places that feel meaningful, whether that is a favorite park, downtown spot, or your own backyard.
