Now that winter has settled in, I’ve been reflecting on some of my favorite moments from the past year at Guilded Grey. This property isn’t just where I live—it’s a place Jon and I have poured our hearts into, creating a beautiful, private oasis for my photography clients. It’s also where our dog, Copper, brings endless joy, especially when he races to the boardwalk and launches himself straight into the marsh (his absolute favorite activity).
And it’s not just Copper who loves the space—our daughter, Sloan, spends her days riding her bike down to the barn or running around outside when she isn’t playing volleyball at Deforest. Watching her explore and play here reminds me how special this property truly is.

The glowing trees framed their moments beautifully, and the boardwalk—always a favorite spot (for Copper too!)—added a calm and timeless touch.
This year, we added an antique piano to the end of the boardwalk. It’s quickly become one of my favorite additions, adding so much character to an already beautiful space.
