Guilded Grey is boho, eclectic, and a little bit wild by design. Large areas of the property are under active prairie restoration, and we love the messy, textured, overgrown beauty that comes with it. This isn't a park or an arboretum with clipped hedges and perfectly edged paths — it's a working landscape that changes with the seasons and doesn't apologize for it.
If the words "wild" or "overgrown" make you anxious, this probably isn't the venue for you. If they make you smile, welcome home.

No. Guilded Grey embraces a wild, boho aesthetic with active prairie restoration across much of the property. This isn't a manicured park or arboretum — expect natural texture, tall grasses, and a landscape that shifts with the seasons.
Guilded Grey can accommodate up to 20 guests, though that's a tight fit — especially if you plan to use the greenhouse. We recommend closer to 10 guests for the most comfortable greenhouse experience. There are some options around this, so reach out and we can talk through what would work best for your group.
Every booking includes exclusive access to the climate-controlled greenhouse, the whiskey room, private outdoor ceremony spaces, and the main living level of our home — a curated space with antiques, plants, and a throw blanket for every guest.
