Yes,
you will rise from the ashes,
but the burning comes first.

For this part,
darling,
you must be brave.

After a decade of a successful partnership with Twig & Olive Photography in Madison, Wisconsin, I have reached a pivotal moment in my professional journey. While the decision was not an easy one, I have ultimately determined that pursuing a separate business venture is the best choice for my personal growth and development. As difficult as change can be, I am excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead and grateful for the valuable lessons learned during my time as a co-owner of my past company.

Over the past decade, I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings, portraits, and family sessions in locations all over the world. The friends and connections I have made throughout my journey have been critical to my success and growth as a photographer. I am excited to maintain these relationships and continue capturing beautiful memories for years to come.

As bittersweet as this change is, I’m excited about the future. As I rebuild a portfolio from scratch, my dear friend Josh Witzel has graciously given me the opportunity to continue as the new owner of Abbots Lane.

Josh and I have always had the same vision for running our companies: a phenomenal client experience paired with an exceptional product. Client and vendor communication is of the most important aspects for us. If you loved working with Josh before, trust that you will receive the same loving attention to detail when working with me as the new face behind Abbots Lane while Josh enjoys his new retirement from photography to spend more time with his family.

I live in Madison, Wisconsin with my beautiful daughter Sloan and husband Jon. We have a golden doodle who always keeps us on our toes, and we also have quite a few deer, coyotes, foxes and wildlife roaming around our 35 acres in the country (it’s literally like Jurrasic Park sometimes!). We love to travel, but we also love relaxing nights by the fire, surrounded by good friends, food, and wine. During my downtime, I’m usually on a scavenger hunt for antiques or creating jewelry for my company, Guilded Grey. I mix and match distinct pendant pieces with fine metal accents to make statement pieces that are limited in quantity, but rich in quality. There is always a story behind every piece. I’m a big fan of reading, and I always bring my Kindle with me.

In my opinion, spreading positivity and living life with a purpose is important. Be kind and mindful of what you put out into the world.

I am currently accepting bookings for portraits and weddings in 2024 and beyond. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for further information. I look forward to hearing from you!
