Mini sessions are not less than full sessions. And if you’ve ever worried that booking one means you’re getting a “lesser” experience, I want to put that to rest right away.
Some of the most genuine, emotional, and favorite images I’ve ever delivered have come from mini sessions.
They’re not a shortcut. They’re a different approach. And when done well, they work incredibly well.

A Different Kind of Experience
A full session gives us time to slow down. To wander. To let moments unfold naturally without watching the clock.
Mini sessions are more focused. More intentional. Everything is simplified in the best way.
There’s no overthinking. No pressure to stretch things out. We show up, we connect quickly, and we create something beautiful in a short amount of time.
And honestly? Kids often do better in that window.

They Still Capture What Matters
The goal is always the same, whether it’s a full session or a mini.
Connection. Emotion. Real moments.
You don’t need an hour to capture your child’s laugh. Or the way your partner looks at you. Or how your family fits together right now in this season.
Mini sessions are not less than full sessions because the outcome is the same. Images that feel like your life, exactly as it is.
I Know Kids. And I Move Fast (On Purpose)
I’ve been photographing families and kids for over 20 years. I’m really good with them.
Pokemon, Disney princesses, Bluey, Wild Kratts, dinosaurs, Taylor Swift, Minecraft, I’ve got you. I can pivot fast, connect quickly, and meet kids exactly where they are.
I also shoot fast.
If it feels like we’re rushing, we’re not. I’m watching your kids the entire time and taking cues from them. Their energy, their attention span, their mood. They run the show and I work around that.
That’s exactly why mini sessions are not less than full sessions. They’re built around how kids actually behave, not how we wish they would behave.

Mini Sessions Remove the Overwhelm
For a lot of families, full sessions can feel like a lot.
Outfits. Timing. Energy. Expectations.
Mini sessions take that weight off your shoulders.
You don’t have to plan as much. You don’t have to keep kids engaged for a long stretch. You don’t have to wonder if it’s all going to go smoothly.
You just show up. I take it from there.
They Are Built With Intention
Mini sessions are not less than full sessions because they are designed with purpose.
I plan the timing, the light, the location, and the flow so that everything works together seamlessly. Whether we’re in the greenhouse or out on the property, every detail is chosen to make the most of that time.
That’s why they work.

When a Full Session Makes More Sense
There are times when a full session is the better fit.
If you want a slower pace, more variety, or just more time to settle in, a full session gives us that space.
If your family needs extra time to warm up, or if we’re telling a bigger story, that extended time matters.
It’s not about one being better. It’s about what fits your family best.
Both Are Worth It
Mini sessions are not less than full sessions. They’re just different.
They’re efficient. Intentional. Honest.
And they still give you images that feel like you.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to book a session, this is it. Mini sessions are a simple, meaningful way to capture your family without overcomplicating it.
